Children’s Nature
By: Prem Prasad Sigdel
Children’s nature is unique and interesting. It really amazes me when I see their activities as being a teacher in school. They are extremely innocent and perform the activities in a different way what we think. I am a teacher and I have been observing their behaviors more than12 years in my career. I have dealt with children of from 2.5years to youths who have studied Bachelor’s level. Among them I have found the children of 6 to 10 years are too much interesting.
They are so innocent that they don’t have any enmity or evilness in their function. Or they haven’t done anything deliberately. They love game and water so much that wouldn’t satisfy them at all. If they have seen something new they would observe it and would try to posses themselves. They have run in such a way that they would collide with one another or with some physical things; yet they seem no reactive at all if something has happened.
They have totally affected with the environment as their reaction shows. If something happened with their own consequence, they would hide the incident till they can. Had their parents made such mistake, they would have wept so bitterly that we can’t console them. So the nature of children is too much mysterious.
Moreover, school children would come to criticize others if they found any mistake of others.  They would tell this and that which is baseless sometimes; yet they have made it an issue of action. Sometimes I ignore them; sometimes they would appeal me in such a way that I have to act according to their interest. Sometimes I should have punished their friends; sometimes I have to ask them to weep without beating and they would be happy.
I remember a proverb by William Wordsworth that “the child is father of the man”. Really the child is father of the man. They teacher us the meaning of life which is full of happiness and sorrow. They can be happy in-on-time and vice-versa. It teaches us the philosophy of life which is full of positive and negative aspects. If we pursue sorrow only our life is full of miseries; and if we feel happiness only, our life will be much ambitious.
We should learn the lesson from children to make our life happy and carefree. Mainly, they don’t have any temptation. They just play in the ground. If something happens what they don’t like, they come to the guardians like me. If something is going on well they would spend time ignoring other duties. So the life of children reflects the reality of our life from which can learn many things.

Neither can we be sad throughout the life, nor can we be happy all the time. We should learn the lesson that the life is a mix of happiness and sorrow. We should maintain it in our life like the children. I think children have adopted both aspects of life together so they are happy and carefree. Thus they are the example of perfect human beings which we can realize with the activities what they have performed. They fight each other and become close friends in-no-time. Hence the philosophy of life, positive and negative aspects has been reflected well by them.
