Training
in Teaching

Training is an
essential part of any job to refresh their personnel for a certain job. It
helps personnel to make aware about the plans and policies of the organization
and to increase the competency of them. It also helps to make them realize
their duty and to adopt new means and system to tackle with these problems. So
training is essential for any personnel to achieve the goal of the
organization.
Mostly, it is necessary
in teaching as the teacher teaches students more than 30 years; what the
teacher had read would be traditional till the last phase of his career. They
should be updated time and again so that they can deliver new trends to the
students. If teachers can’t be familiar with new knowledge and technology on
time, they can’t deliver it to their students. So training has greater
importance in teaching rather than other field. If compare it with other
offices, it is different than teaching. In other offices, if the office is
going to launch new projects only, the personnel should be trained to make them
aware of new techniques and ideas. However, in teaching it needs to refresh teachers
timely according to change of time and technology.
The teachers and
teaching job are the most hated elements in our country. They haven’t given any
priority on the basis of job. The society also can’t recognize the importance
of teachers though they realize that education is the only means to put forward
their children. We didn’t put education first anytime. Since we don’t focus on
education, we are always back in this field. If there is no education, our
children can’t get proper education. As a corollary, it hampers the development
of the country.
To make education much
effective we need to focus on teacher’s training. There are new methods and
techniques that we have been dealing in teaching. It has been completely
changed these days. From teacher centered methods, it has been changed to
student centered methods. So student should be focused understanding the
situation of them to provide quality education.
It is said that we
should recognize the ability of the students and focus on them according to child
centered methods. If so, they would develop interest in reading. If children
don’t have interest in reading, it is useless to teach. The training would help
to identify such characters which would be fruitful for children and teachers.
Though we have resource constrain, we can focus on training so that we can
utilize our own knowledge and local resources to make our education effective. Thus
the training can also be a means to utilize the local resources and techniques for
the teachers.
Training helps teachers to develop their
confidence. I have found that teachers aren’t confident in teaching when there
is change in course. Or they have some doubt that the trend change may affect
students’ performance. Training builds teachers’ capacity and they would be
able to deliver their best to the students. It also assists to build their
career when they build up confidence in their life. When they could utilize teaching
materials preparing themselves, children could get some more from teaching
which is possible building confidence of the teachers.
Training helps to use
new techniques of teaching to the teacher. The teachers could handle new
techniques as it is essential for students to make familiar to the new world. Training
has got such power neither the teaching would be traditional one. Teachers would
be able to use different and modern techniques if they have been given
training. Only the effective modern teaching methods can change the life of students
which is regarded as the quality in education. On the other hand, the world has
been running rapidly with new techniques and methods. So the teachers should be
able to grasp such ideas to deliver it to the students. If the teacher can’t deliver
new things for students according to the demand of time, students don’t have
interest in reading.
The overall aim of
training is to improve the teaching of teachers. Though teachers can be perfect
in subject matter; if s/he can’t utilize it properly in class; teaching is
useless. To make it more reliable we need training which can be panacea to
solve the problem of teachers and students. If teachers can’t improve style of teaching
according to the changing time, s/he can’t attract the attention of the
students. If teachers can’t present latest examples to the students, students have
no interest at all. Students would have already known the things which come to
the market; and teachers would be back in relation to students.
Training also helps in
the introduction of new technology in teaching. By nature children have the
habit of knowing new things in their life. To be up-to-date with the subject
matter training can be the only solution. If teacher always delivers the old useless
materials, children would make fun of them. If s/he has got training to use
modern technology, s/he would be able to fulfil the motto of children. The
expectation of the children is that their teacher should have mastery over all
subjects. So students would take interest in reading.
At last, training helps
teachers to develop modern scientific tools or materials. We have recognized
science as something new demonic subject matter. If we have trained the
teachers, they would be able to develop such materials in their teaching
career. On the other hand, teaching is quite responsible job. The teachers
should be updated timely so they can deliver better knowledge to the students.
It needs timely update of the teachers to make students more interested; training
can play vital role in this matter.
